Arbee local market trend updates: Bacchus Marsh

Property in regional Victoria is a hot commodity at the moment, with Melburnians packing their bags and heading up the highway for a change of scenery.

This has proven both beneficial and difficult for real estate in Bacchus Marsh, as we see an increase in median house prices for both rent and buying price.

In Bacchus Marsh, the median house price currently sits at $587,750, and for rent, $390 per week.

And as for units, we see purchase price sitting at $381,000, and the median rental price at $320 per week.

What’s even more astounding? This is a significant increase since just six months ago; May 2021.

Bacchus Marsh on its’ way to becoming tourist destination

A huge cash injection from the State Government is set to help transform Bacchus Marsh into a tourist destination.

The Minister for Regional Development, Mary-Anne Thomas, visited the 1000+ Steps Trail in Darley on December 8 to announce a $1.6 million commitment to the large-scale project.

An All Accessibility and Sculpture Trail will now be built in conjunction to the current 1001 Steps project that has already begun construction.

This takes the total investment from the State Government to $2.1 million.

“The 1001 steps trail and destination park will provide a terrific boost for local businesses and jobs,” Regional Development Minister, Mary-Anne Thomas, said.

“We know visitors will flock to the steps trail in large numbers.”

North Ballarat held the lead over the Devils in the first three quarters as spectators nervously watched on. But in those last few seconds, it was anyone’s game.

Hundreds of supporters lined the boundary donned black and white to watch the boys bring home the cup. A journey which was looking a likely disappointment in the beginning, but after the umpire’s call in the later stages of the fourth quarter, it could be home.
